What is new: 11.6.2008:
Davar3 - BETA2 version is out! This is bug-fix version and only small new features were added: |
- check for actualization
- PDF and CHM help are working now
- Hebrew keys are now different, there was collision with hot keys of program
- Vista fix: Run from CD/DVD works.
- W98 fix - SHGetFolderPath() function is no available in W98 and D3b1 had some kind of problems with this call.
- Save configuration with no changes crashed in some cases.
- Watch clipboard crashed in case of long texts.
- Vista: export to clipboard, we use temporary file which is deleted.
- Fixed charset of morphology in context tip.
- MDD export had sometimes bad number if records in mdd file.
- decoding of Greek morphology - picture browser: now you can use "<-" and "->" arrows for previous/next picture
- fixed position of picture, stored in cfg file.
- export of LEX record to TXT or RTF produced error message and was cancelled.
- ...and many other bugs was fixed.
Package with source code (GPL), conversion utilities, examples and information is also available.

* mDavar 2.0 beta 3 released
Hebrew is now available in three font sizes. Released as obfuscated
MIDP 1.0 version - should run faster and on more phones than beta2 release.
Also, some bugs were found and fixed.

* mDavar 2.0 beta 1 released
mDavar 2.0 beta1 released. Java based bidirectional Hebrew dictionary for your
phone with 15361 English-Hebrew words (or 28012 Czech-Hebrew words) available
for download! Require Java MIDP 2.0 and ability to run JAR file size ~ 300 kB.
Tested on SonyEricsson K750i phone, but should work on many other.
Do not miss first public version!
* Davar3 - BETA1 installation packages updated
D3beta1 did not run on W95/W98. Program used function SHGetFolderPath()
from shell32.dll, which is not supported in these windows versions.
Program crashed when you Saved configuration in Options dialog and no book/lexicon/dictionary window was opened.

* Permission obtained to use high quality Bible Land atlas in Davar3. These excellent maps were prepared by Dr. Zaine Ridling (see his Great Software List site) who has graciously granted permission for use in Davar3. Copyright: Access Foundation
* 243 high resolution Bible Illustrations by Gustave Doré was used. Scanned by Felix Just, S.J. and get from http://catholic-resources.org/Art/Dore.htm
* George Edison was so kind and prepared hi-res lineage charts.
* Mgr. Jiří Gračka prepared Czech translation of "Ivrit bkalut" - Hebrew tutorial of David Uhlar i Escandell.
* BHS audio index file was greatly updated (part of D3A5 installation): more than 8700 verses indexed, about 38% of OT.

sorting. Please, download new files.
* Packages with ALL books/lexicons/dictionaries removed. Traffic was too
high. In final version of Davar3, we create ISO CD/DVD images for download.
*Work in progress (will be in Davar3alpha2):
Localization of D3 is now on the base of external text files, anyone can
later help and create new translation of D3.
Library manager - similar as Theophilos have - users can create folders
and better organize modules. With over 120 available module files, it is
necessary tool for easy work with D3
Audio features planned - isn't it good to read Hebrew/Greek
and HEAR native speaker? Work around this great feature just started. All audio
will be in MP3 and it is planned to synchronize book text with MP3. Tools
for indexing audio are under development.
