1:3 3 bitaken, it is seen also to me, hauynge alle thingis diligentli bi ordre, to write to thee, 3 i determined also, as soon as i had searched out diligently all things from the beggining, that then i would write unto thee, good Theophilus, 3 I determined also assone as I had searched out diligently all thinges from the beginnynge that then I wolde wryte vnto the good Theophilus: 3 I thought it good (after that I had diligently searched out all from the begynnynge) to wryte the same orderly vnto the (good Theophilus) 3 It seemed good also to me (most noble Theophilus) assoone as I had searched out perfectly all things from the beginning, to write vnto thee thereof from point to point, 3 I determined also, assoone as I had searched out diligently all thinges from the begynnyng, that then I woulde write vnto thee, moste excellent Theophilus.  3 It seemed good to me also, hauing had perfect vnderstanding of things from the very first, to write vnto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

1:5 5 In the daies of Eroude, kyng of Judee, ther was a prest, Sakarie bi name, of the sorte of Abia, and his wijf was of the douytris of Aaron, and hir name was Elizabeth. 5 ¶ In the time of Herode king of jewry, there was a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abie. And his wife was of the daughters of Aaron: And her name was Elizabeth. 5 There was in the dayes of Herode kynge of Iurie a certayne prest named Zacharias of ye course of Abia. 1:6 6 And bothe weren iust bifor God, goynge in alle the maundementis and iustifiyngis of the Lord, withouten pleynt. 6 Both were perfect before God, and walked in all the laws and ordinances of the lord that no man could find fault with them. 6 Booth were perfect before God and walked in all the lawes and ordinaces of the Lorde that no man coulde fynde fawte with them. 6 They were both righteous before God, and walked in all the commaundementes and statutes of the LORDE vnreproueably. 6 Both were iust before God, and walked in all the commandements and ordinances of the Lord, without reproofe. 6 They were both ryghteous before God, and walked in all the lawes and ordinaunces of the Lorde, that no man coulde fynde fault with them.  6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the Commandements and ordinances of the Lord, blamelesse.

1:9 9 aftir the custome of the preesthod, he wente forth bi lot, and entride in to the temple, to encense. 9 (according to the custom of the priest's office) his lot was to burn odoures. And went into the temple of the lord, 9 (accordinge to the custome of the prestes office) his lot was to bourne incece. 9 (acordinge to the custome of the presthode) it fell to his lott to burne incense. 9 According to the custome of the Priests office, his lot was to burne incense, when he went into the Temple of the Lord. 9 Accordyng to ye custome of the priestes office, his lot was to burne incence, whe he went into the temple of the Lorde.  9 According to the custome of the Priests office, his lot was to burne incense when he went into the Temple of the Lord.
1:10 10 And al the multitude of the puple was with outforth, and preiede in the our of encensyng. 10 and all the multitude of people were without in their prayers while the odoures were a burning. 10 And wet into ye teple of ye Lorde and the whoale multitude of ye people were with out in prayer whill the incense was aburnynge. 10 And he wente in to the temple of the LORDE, and the whole multitude of the people was without in prayer, whyle the incense was aburnynge. 10 And the whole multitude of the people were without in prayer, while the incense was burning. 10 And the whole multitude of the people were without in prayer, whyle the incence was burnyng.  10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without, at the time of incense.

And he shall be filled with the holy ghost, even in his mother's womb: 15 For he shalbe greate in the sight of the lorde and shall nether drinke wyne ner stronge drinke. And he shalbe filled with the holy goost even in his mothers wombe: 15 for he shal be greate before the LORDE. Wyne and stronge drynke shal he not drynke. 1:17 17 and he schal go bifor hym in the spirit and the vertu of Helie; and he schal turne the hertis of the fadris in to the sones, and men out of bileue to the prudence of iust men, to make redi a perfit puple to the Lord. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Helias to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the unbelievers to the wisdom of the just men: to make the people ready for the lord. 17 And he shall goo before him in the sprete and power of Helyas to tourne the hertes of the fathers to the chyldren and the vnbelevers to the wysdom of the iuste men: to make the people redy for the Lorde. 17 And he shal go before him in the sprete and power of Elias, to turne the hertes of ye fathers vnto the children, and the vnfaithfull vnto the wyssdome of the righteous, to make the people ready for the LORDE. 17 For he shall goe before him in the spirite and power of Elias, to turne the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisedome of the iust men, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. 17 And he shall go before hym, with the spirite and power of Elias, to turne the heartes of the fathers to the chyldren, and the disobedient to the wisedome of the iust men, to make redy a perfect people for the Lorde.  17 And hee shall goe before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turne the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisedome of the iust, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. {to the wisdom: or, by the wisdom}
1:18 18 And Zacarie seide to the aungel, Wherof schal Y wite this? for Y am eld, and my wijf hath gon fer in to hir daies. 18 ¶ And Zacary said unto the angel: Whereby shall i know this? seeing that i am old, and my wife well stricken in years. 18 And Zacharias sayde vnto ye angell: Wher by shall I knowe this? seinge that I am olde and my wyfe well stricken in yeares. 18 And Zachary sayde vnto the Angel: Wherby shal I knowe this? For I am olde, and my wife well stricken in age. 18 Then Zacharias said vnto ye Angel, Whereby shall I knowe this? for I am an olde man, and my wife is of a great age. 18 And Zacharias saide vnto the Angel: By what token shall I know this? And the lord God shall give unto him the seat of his father David: 32 He shalbe greate and shalbe called the sonne of the hyest.
